Privacy Policy
Proof-of-concept notice: oa.org.nz is a technical prototype, not an established organisation. There is currently no incorporated society, charity, or other legal entity behind this site. This policy describes how the site actually operates today; it will be revisited if and when a real organisation is formed.
Last updated: 2026-09-14
Who this applies to
This policy covers oa.org.nz and its subdomains as they exist today: a static, informational website with no user accounts, no login, and no forms.
What we do not collect
Consistent with the anonymity traditions of 12-step recovery programs, this site does not ask for, collect, or store:
- Names, emails, or other identifying details of any person
- Information about meeting attendance or participation
- Health, recovery, or other sensitive personal information
- Account credentials (there are no user accounts)
There are currently no contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, comment sections, or embedded third-party trackers (such as advertising or social media pixels) on this site.
What is collected automatically
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like almost all web hosting, Cloudflare automatically processes standard connection information for every request in order to serve pages and protect against abuse — typically including IP address, browser/user-agent string, requested URL, and timestamp. We do not receive or view this data as individually identifying visitor logs; it is processed by Cloudflare as our hosting provider. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details of their processing.
This site does not set any cookies of its own and does not use analytics scripts (e.g. Google Analytics) at this time. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
Email contact
If you email contact@oa.org.nz, your email address and message content are received like any normal email and are not published, shared with third parties, or added to a mailing list without your separate consent.
Third-party links
Any links to third-party sites (for example, social media pages) are governed by that third party's own privacy policy, not this one.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This is a proof-of-concept project and this policy may change as the site's functionality changes (for example, if meeting listings, contact forms, or newsletters are added later). Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
